Curbs to replace Souness?

The contract of Graham Souness at the Barcodes has been terminated with immediate effect after last night's 3-0 defeat by the Massives. Speculation is bound to start about Curbs as a target which will hearten the growing numbers of the Addickted who consider that he has 'lost the plot'. Expectations at St.James's Park are, however, even more out of kilter with reality than at The Valley and Curbs is not known to like northern climes.

Spot on Wyn, I like the tone of your swipe at those for whom five years in the Premiership equates to a god-given right to countless trophies, top five finishes and European football.

Don't get me wrong, sometimes I think there is an apparent lack of ambition but this is more to do with the way the team is selected and plays rather than anything to do with the club itself.

It's intereseting to note that Curishley is NOT among the names mentioned at their fan sites or places like Teamtalk. Has Curbs' reputation taken a dent, or is he simple overshadowed by what Allardyce has done at Bolton?

Probably the latter, norseaddick. Allerdyce's personality would fit in better at the Barcodes and although whether he could turn them round is another matter.

Perhaps they will be good enough to wait for their 'turnaround' until after we play them.
