Bardsmen pose tough test for Brakes

Leamington are unbeaten so far this season in the Polymac Services Midland Alliance, but they face a tough test away this evening to high flying Stratford Town. The derby fixture was originally scheduled for a Saturday, but was postponed after the pitch at the Anne Hathaway Stadium was flooded by a torrent of plain verse. The Bardsmen held the Brakes to a 0-0 draw at the New Windmill earlier in the season, a match noted for the industrial language used by the visiting thespians. The chances of Brakes fans being able to chant '2-0 or not 2-0?' tonight are not that promising.
