Addicks linked with Ferguson

Charlton have been linked with 28-year old midfielder Barry Ferguson, the Rangers captain who has been dropped from the side for today's match with Motherwell after a spat with wonder manager Paul le Guen.

Scotland skipper Ferguson clashed last month with Le Guen over the importance of the captaincy, with the Frenchman playing down the role. Ferguson is a product of the Rangers youth system and moved to Blackburn Rovers for £7.5 million pounds in 2003. However, he failed to settle and returned to Rangers in 2005.

He would be a great signing if we could get him, but there will be a lot of competition if he becomes available as seems likely. Would a loan for the rest of the season be possible?
